I don’t know about your kids, but mine love to help in the kitchen. Especially when it comes to desserts. Bargain Bakers is a wonderful business that specializes in the following:
We make homemade, preservative free, mixes for Easy Bake ovens.
I have a line of gluten-free mixes, sugar-free mixes, dairy-free mixes, and a wide variety of regular mixes. All are complete with ingredients list and baking instructions.
Mixes are vacuum sealed to maintain freshness, without preservatives. Many of my mixes can also be baked in your toaster oven :)
We had the opportunity to review a couple of their items.
Here is a picture of the items we received to review.
- Chocolate Cake
- Chocolate Cake Mix (makes 2 Easy Bake cakes)
- Grape Tea Party Cake
- Grape Tea Party Cake Mix (makes 2 Easy Bake cakes)
- Chocolate Frosting
- We also received a package of sprinkles too.
We had a blast doing this review. I did it with my older 2 children and my baby girl got in on the taste testing!
We don’t have an easy bake oven, but I was able to use our regular oven for the review.
I looked up online what temperature an easy bake overn heats up to. I then set our oven at that temperature.
While we waited we prepared the cake mixes. Both are very easy to do.
The Grape Tea Party Cake:
- Preheat the oven
- In bowl, combine cake mix with 1 tablespoon of water. Blend until smooth
- Pour into 2 well greased pans
- Bake each for 15 mins.
I also did not have easy bake pans. I had individual cupcake like pans and we used those instead.
That is what I love about this. You can substitute in things to make it work to your specifications.
- The Chocolate Cake:
Preheat the oven - In bowl, combine cake mix with 4 teaspoons of water. Blend until smooth.
- Pour into 2 greased Easy Bake Pans (we used our cupcake pans again)
- Bake for 15 min.
Each cake mix made 2 cupcakes.
- While they were baking we prepared the icing:
Pour mix in bowl. Add 3/4 tsp water - Mix Well
- Spread over cake and enjoy!!
This is a picture of my oldest 2 helping to prepare the cake mixes.
This is a picture of the frosting. We were patiently waiting to put it on our cakes!
Here are cupcakes once they cooled down. Don’t they look YUMMY???
My kids are anxiously waiting to decorate them with the icing and sprinkles.
This is the finished products. Then we sat down at the table to try them. The kids loved them!!! Of course, I had to try them too…LOL
My sons favorite was the Chocolate Cake. He said it tasted just like a brownie, which is his favorite.
My baby girl loved them both and kept wanting more!!! My oldest daughter loved the Grape Tea Party Cake. She said it was so YUMMY!!!
I liked them both, but have to honestly say that the Grape Tea Party Cake was my favorite. I would love to have that in a regular cake size :) I wasn’t to sure about this one but have to say I loved it!!!
When we got done my kids said, “Mommy you have to contact that lady so we can review more. We Loved them and they were super yummy!”
Now that is a review. You know it is good if your kids are begging for more.
My kids don’t get alot of sweets, but I would have no problem giving them these. They are the perfect portion for a child and super easy to make. They helped in the entire process.
